 | Is the ceramic toxic?
 | No. We use paints and glazes, which are non-toxic. Our product is food safe according to the California State regulation codes. |

 | If the ceramic has a crack or has been chipped can I repair it?
 | If you are using this product as a non-food item, then yes you can glue the chipped piece back on with epoxy. Cracks are not repairable and if used as a container to hold water (vase) the piece may leak. VERY IMPORTANT If you have a chipped piece do not continue to use it as a serving piece for food items (even if you repaired it with glue). The chipped portion may eventually carry bacteria, which may cause illness. |

 | Is the
ceramic microwave, oven and dishwasher safe?
 | Note that the most durable is “stoneware” because it is fired at very high fires. Ceramic is fired at a low cone fire, (03) (05) which makes it lesser durable. Ceramic is although microwave, oven (low warming temperatures) and dishwasher safe, but use caution. Just like most dishware it will chip or crack if mishandled. |

|
 | I heard red
is a toxic color?
 | Yes, most true red ceramic paints are toxic.
Tessworks only uses non-toxic paint. If you see “red” in any of our patterns, know that Tessworks uses a combination of other colors to reach the “red” color. |
